File scan report
Verdict Suspicious
Is Delphi 2021. 10b Cars & Trucks. exe safe? Treat it as suspicious.
Less reliable detections only on a widely seen and long established unsigned Delphi EXE with mixed installer-like and direct-IP behaviour.
Read the whole reasonShow less
Why Suspicious? 2 antivirus engines flag it, but no major engine agrees; nothing else confirms it.
Limited evidence · One sign points to a problem; nothing else confirms it.
Treat as suspicious pending additional context; do not execute without isolation or further analysis.
What to do now4 steps
Some signs point to a problem, but nothing confirms it is harmful. Treat it with caution.
What to do
Don't run it unless you're sure where it came from.
Check where you got it: an unexpected attachment, a link someone sent you or a re-upload is a red flag.
If you can't confirm where it came from, delete it. If you need the program, download it again from the publisher's own website.
If you already ran it
Stop using it, run a full scan with your antivirus and watch for unexpected behavior or security alerts.
Not sure what to do?
Ask the MalwareTips community before you run it. If you already ran it, follow the cleanup guide.

Chapter 02
Why we think so
3 points against it and 4 in its favour, checked against the scan evidence.
The reasoning behind this verdict
Two less reliable engines flagged grayware/Trojan labels while 69 others and all major antivirus engines cleared it. Similar import-table fingerprint previously ruled safe as AV-on-AV FP. Direct-IP contacts and raise borderline suspicion but no sandbox malice or malicious files it created.
The payload shows classic less reliable-only flagging with zero malicious detections from major antivirus engines and a prior safe verdict on the same import-table fingerprint. Prevalence as widely seen and long established over 1169 days plus clean files it created and sandbox results weigh against active malware. However, one of our behaviour rules and single offensive MITRE technique prevent a clean safe verdict, producing mixed signals best captured as suspicious.
What We Detected
Only CrowdStrike and MaxSecure (both less reliable) reported grayware/Trojan labels; 17 major antivirus engines and 69 total undetected. No named family consensus.
Threat Behavior
Unsigned Win32 EXE with high-entropy resources, 18 direct IP contacts (no domains), T1134 token manipulation, and installer-style temp-file drops. No malicious sandbox verdict or malicious files it created.
What To Do Now
Run in a sandbox or monitor network activity. Avoid execution on production systems until further reputation data emerges.
Where this verdict could be wrong1 caveat
- One of our behaviour rules and offensive technique could indicate a control server or token manipulation if the file is malicious, but widely seen and long established prevalence and identical-import-table fingerprint safe precedent make stolen or repurposed legitimate binary more likely than active threat.
These are the assessment's weak points. If you believe one applies to your file, report the verdict and we'll re-review it.
- Zero malicious detections from major antivirus engines
- Prior safe verdict on identical import-table fingerprint
- Common_old prevalence with 250 submitters
- No malicious files it created or sandbox verdicts
- Direct IP contacts bypassing DNS reputation
- offensive technique present
- Unsigned binary

What the test run showed
What the file did on a test computer
Confirmed in the test run
Moderate concern: Contains packed or scrambled code that is harder to inspect (common in installers too).
Moderate concern: Ran commands or a script on the test computer.
Moderate concern: Unpacked hidden content while it ran.
Note: Read the user name of the test computer.
Note: Talked to servers over the internet during the test run.
Note: Read basic details of the test computer, such as its Windows version.
Note: Looked through folders on the test computer (most installers do this).
This file was run on a test computer (a sandbox), not on yours. Labels we could not confirm are listed so you can see them, but they are not treated as evidence against the file.

Section entropy & packers
No high-entropy executable section or known packer signature was detected. Data and resource sections can still have high entropy without indicating packed code.
How widely this file has been seen
Widely seen in the wild for a long time. High prior this is legitimate; isolated detections on common-old files are usually false positives.
