Read the whole reasonShow less
Moderate evidence · No engine flags it, but no publisher signature confirms who made it.
This archive appears to be a legitimate Windows debloating script. Download it from the official project page, create a system restore point before running it, and keep your security software enabled.

We found nothing harmful in this file.
Open it only if you trust the person or website you got it from.

Chapter 02
Why we think so
1 point against it and 5 in its favour, checked against the scan evidence.
The reasoning behind this verdict
Two sandbox runs showed PowerShell scripts loading and saving app presets and settings, with no injection into other processes and no hostile network activity. No public malware database lists the file.
The archive draws zero detections from 75 engines, with all 17 reporting major antivirus engines returning clean results. In two sandbox runs it launched PowerShell scripts from its own folder that read and write app lists and settings, which matches a Windows debloating tool. Mapped techniques such as process injection or file encryption were not backed by any recorded artefact, and no injected process was observed. The only network contact was the analysis machine's own background traffic, and the host check covering it found nothing malicious. It has been seen by 46 different submitters over about five months with no public malware database entries.
What We Detected
None of the 64 antivirus engines that checked it flagged this ZIP archive, and 17 major antivirus engines reported it clean. There are no entries in public malware-sharing databases or matches to malware-specific YARA rules.
Threat Behavior
Two sandbox runs executed PowerShell scripts bundled in the archive that load and save app presets, app lists and settings. No high-risk techniques were confirmed, no process injection target was recorded, and the only network contact was the analysis machine's own background traffic. The tool is designed to remove built-in Windows apps and change system settings.
What To Do Now
If you obtained this from the project's official release page, it appears to be the debloat tool it claims to be. Review the options before running, create a restore point first, and keep your antivirus enabled.
Where this verdict could be wrong1 caveat
- The scripts run PowerShell with execution policy bypass and change Windows settings by design, so they should only be run by users who understand what the debloat options remove.
These are the assessment's weak points. If you believe one applies to your file, report the verdict and we'll re-review it.
- None of the 64 antivirus engines that checked it flagged the archive
- Major antivirus engines returned clean results
- No high-risk behaviour or process injection in two sandbox runs
- No listings in public malware databases
- Seen by 46 different submitters over about five months
- The scripts run PowerShell with a bypassed execution policy and modify Windows settings and installed apps by design.

Signatures and behavior heuristics
Low-severity pattern matches — worth noting but not on their own cause for alarm.
VirusTotal's sandbox summary maps this run to MITRE T1055 (Process Injection), but no injected process of the sample's own was recorded (the analysis VM's own WMI adapter, crash handlers and Chrome updater are not counted). VirusTotal maps T1055 on about half of all files no engine flags, so the mapping alone is not evidence of injection.
