Is myanimalpak.com safe?

A brand-new domain wearing a forty-year-old brand's story

The captured page copy reads 'Shop the legendary performance apparel trusted by global athletes for over forty years. Animal Pak myanimalpak.com.' The site is therefore trading on the reputation of the established Animal Pak brand while operating from a lookalike domain. The registrable domain is only 29 days old, so the 'over forty years' heritage it advertises cannot belong to this site.

The storefront is built to look like a functioning shop, with 'Shop Sale', 'Shop Now', 'Shop The Collection' and a 'Cart (0)' control on the captured page. Those controls are the commercial surface a visitor would use to browse and buy, which is exactly the surface a brand-impersonating store would use to collect orders and payment details.

Security-vendor detections and a hidden operator

Three malicious detections were recorded across 93 engines, and three independent antivirus families — Kaspersky, LevelBlue and Netcraft — reported an adverse result. Netcraft in particular specialises in phishing and brand-abuse takedowns, which aligns with the impersonation pattern visible on the page itself.

The operator side is equally thin. The captured page shows no contact email on the site's own domain, no phone number and no postal address. A legitimate supplement retailer trading on a forty-year brand would normally publish at least one of these. Their absence means a buyer has no verifiable route to the seller if an order goes wrong.

Two technical checks were clean: the browser threat feed returned no threat warning and the saved TLS check found a valid encrypted connection. Those results only mean no blocklist entry and a working certificate at the moment of the scan; they do not clear the brand-impersonation and phishing detections above, and a valid certificate is available to any site.
